beekay414
Re-tool, not a rebuild. Bucks receive: PG Chris Paul Thunder receive: PG Eric Bledsoe C Brook Lopez SG Donte DiVincenzo PF Ersan Ilyasova (non-guaranteed deal worth $7 Million so easily cutable) -Renounce Sterling Brown's rights along with any other cap hold we may have. -Draft Desmond Bane with the 24th pick in the 2020 draft. -Robin Lopez and Wes Matthews exercise their player options. -Sign Aron Baynes using the BAE -Sign Marco Belinelli and Marvin Williams to vet minimum deals. PG Chris Paul | George HillSG Wes Matthews | Desmond BaneSF Khris Middleton | Marco BelinelliPF Giannis Antetokounmpo | Marvin WilliamsC Aron Baynes | Robin Lopez There's your 10 man playoff rotation, at most. The rest doesn't really matter. Would prefer a better 5 man and backups but who knows. The idea remains the same. Ring chasing vet minimums to fill out the roster and use the BAE/MLE on a center that fits. Doesn't have to be Baynes, Belinelli and Marvin specifically. If those guys aren’t getting the job done for MIL, why would OKC want them?

sdrawkcab321
You don’t trade gannis unless he comes out and whines and cry’s all year like AD.

If they traded for Lopez/Bledsoe/DiVincenzo they'd have $32.6M tied up into them next season, $36.1M tied up into them in '22, and $33.2M tied up into them in '23. So they'd only really save $8 in cap space over the next two years but then would be paying a 32 year old Bledsoe and 34 year old Lopez $33.2M in 2023, the year CP3's contract comes off the books. As a small market team they're not going to attract top tier FA talent either way and a couple of late first round picks really don't justify giving away the best player on a playoff team. The only way I'd even consider it is if the draft picks were 2022 & 2024 unprotected 1st round picks. In hopes that Giannis bolts after next season and they go into full tank mode.
Tetsujin
I didn't realize how easy it'd be for the Heat to sign him. They have so much salary coming off the books, and Dragic is the only one of real consequence.
