BOB's confidence is probably through the roof right now. Next he'll name himself team owner of the Texans. And then he'll be the owner, gm, coach and week day starting QB.

This is all leading up to a presidential run in 2024 as well.

@ET80 can you confirm or deny this?!?

ET is his VP

Such an asinine move, and it will eventually blow up in Houston's face.

You don't give out this kind of contract extension to a QB before he has actually won a Super Bowl.

Mahome's historic contract is justified.  He's the youngest QB ever to win both a Super Bowl and league MVP.  He's a prodigy without question at the QB position.

Russell Wilson's 2019 extension was also justified.  He already went to two Super Bowls, won one of them (was really supposed to win both if it wasn't for stupid Pete Carroll).

Ben Roethlisberger's contract extension back in 2008 was justified because he not only had one Super Bowl, but he was also (and still is) the youngest QB to ever win a Super Bowl.

What has Deshaun Watson done to deserve this kind of money?  $111 mil in guarantees?   He had almost half as many interceptions as touchdowns last season.

It's just not justified in any way.

So what should the Texans have done then? Seriously I really don’t understand this.  Watson has led them to back to back playoff appearances, is only 25 and does things for that team that stats can’t justify.

I would have loved to see the Texans explain and try to justify to their fans why they won’t give Watson a new deal because he hadn’t won a Super Bowl. Even BOB isn’t that crazy...

Who cares?   He couldn't take down Mahomes and take Houston to the AFC title game.  There's a lot of teams just get into the playoffs by slipping through the cracks.  Houston's part of a terrible division.  Tennessee's good, but probably would have even led the South last year if they didn't have to go through a QB transition.

Don't really understand what you're trying to explain here, but ok.
