Cardinals extending WR DeAndre Hopkins

Recommended Posts

I'd say about 21-22 per season, roughly 40% fully guaranteed?

What a coup for a young team with a young QB on the rise.

I wonder if Jalen is salty about this too

He unfollowed the colorado state rams after this news broke since unfollowing the Los Angeles Rams wasn't enough to get his message across.

DeAndre Hopkins' new deal with the #Cardinals is not done yet - but once finalized, he is expected to overtake Julio Jones' as the highest paid WR in new money per-year average, per @AaronWilson_NFL. Julio's deal with the #Falcons was $22M per year.

That’s $9-10m a year added on to his deal the next 3 seasons.  The question will be additional years.

And he’s going to make far more than Julio too considering he’s representing himself. Lamar did it as well for his rookie deal, but I’m a little surprised Hopkins is doing it on such a huge deal. Hope he doesn’t end up getting screwed over with the details that perhaps his representation will be more on the look out for. If not or if he’s aware of such tricks... very intelligent move to cut out the middle man.
