Testament to how special Jacobs is, our run blocking hasn't been great and I think he has slightly under performed based on expectations coming into the year and he's still 2nd in the league in rushing.ย

He has been getting a ton of touches (106 carries already to go along with 15 receptions). He's only averaging 3.6 YPC which is really poor, but like you mentioned we have been missing two of our better players on the line. He is also tied for 2nd with a few others in rushing TDs with 5.

He's also on pace to more than double his receiving production from last season. Crazy that Jacobs has already been held to under 4 ypc in 4 games this season when it only happened 3 times in 2019. Getting Incognito back should help us out a lot up front.ย

In 12 games with both Incognito/Brown up front Jacobs has averaged 88.4 ypg on 4.9 ypc with 5 100+ yard games and has averaged 4+ ypc in 11/12.ย

In 6 games without both Incognito/Brown up front Jacobs has averaged 77.6 ypg on 3.5 ypc with 0 100+ yard games and has averaged 4+ ypc in 1/6.

the thing about Jacobs is he hasnt even had a big day yet(yards wise). Hes just as steady as they come and always gets positive yards. As our offense gets healthy i see him blowing up after the bye. Trent and Richie are two of the best at there positions and clear massive holes. Ruggs opens up so much and Edwards will give us another weapon teams will have to account for. Jacobs behind our OL vs lightย boxes is going to feast

Getting Ruggs back will help too and the emergence of Agholor will mean DCs will have to respect our passing game more. Those two long TDs against KC might put teams on notice a little and could potentially benefit the running and short passing game. All these little cogs slotting back into place will help the machine.

I think we've done really well through the first 5 games, them being difficult and we've had to adapt with pieces missing. Cant wait to see the offense when we have all the pieces in place injuries permitting!

We didn't have much of a vertical passing game last year (only 5 20+ yard TD passes in comparison to 4 this year) and we were still able to run the ball effectively. I think it's pretty telling that Jacobs YPC is almost 1.5 yards lower without Brown/Incognito then it is with them.ย

And Jacobs has been phenomenal for us this year despite the meh ypc he's still on pace for around 1,600 yards and 16 TD.ย

It sucks that we won't have Tyrell Williams at all this season, can you imagine how good our passing attack would've been if we had him too?ย

I think Abram will also really benefit whenever we get a better FS. Because if/when we have a guy that has the range to play single high we'll be able to move him around more like the Seahawks did with Chancellor and Thomas. People also forget that this is essentially Abram's rookie season and last week was only his 6th career game.ย

Mullen 6th ranked corner so far this season. Most notably, heโ€™s been by far the best press man corner in the league.ย

Mullen has had some bad plays in run support, but we are looking solely at coverage performance here. And he has been a standout player in that facet thus far โ€” particularly in press-man coverage, where his length and physicality come in handy.

On such snaps, Mullen has recorded a 90.8 coverage grade, which leads all cornerbacks. For perspective, the next best sits at 86.9, and then there is only one other corner to produce a grade above 80.0. Mullen has seen five targets when playing press-man and allowed just one to be caught while recording three forced incompletions.ย

I wanted Greedy so bad...THANK YOU MIKEY...
