God, how scary was his brief stint on the sideline last Sunday? I just assumed "Welp, there's his 3rd consecutive season derailing injury".

Yeah, Have to wonder if 2020 is like the Elliot protection device. Like in any other year he does go down for the year, but because 2020 doesn’t make sense... his body didn’t register the injury that had occurred.

I know there’s little cap, but I’m surprised we haven’t taken a swing at Jefferson for cheap? All the Carr talk about knowing the defense, so does Jefferson and he has something to prove. We must like what we see in the young prospects behind Elliott and Clark

IDK. Jefferson was the worst player on our defense during most of his tenure, and that was before the severe injury. Don't see the FO falling all over themselves to try and draw any more from that well.

Carr can survive outside or inside at CB, and would be another needed depth piece at Safety. Probably wouldn't see the field all that much barring injury, but in the end I trust him a lot more than someone like Khalil Dorsey.

Sucks for Alaka. Looked strong on Special Teams for us. Team clearly valued him.

Yeah. For the team to keep carrying Olaka as the 5th off-ball LB on the roster they had to be pretty happy with him. I had hopes of him contributing on defense but drafting both Queen and Harrison put a stop to that. Fort being really good is nice too. Oh well, this was an easy transaction for the team to keep Colon-Castillo at least.

CB: Marlon Humphrey / Marcus Peters / Jimmy Smith / Khalil Dorsey

S: Chuck Clark / Deshon Elliot / Anthony Levine / Jordan Richards

That's pretty thin in the secondary. Listing Levine as a safety is generous too. I'd expect at least one more permanent move to add another defensive back to the active roster. The problem is the lack of an obvious corresponding move. Ellis makes the most sense but given the defensive line durability issues thus far that's not a clean-cut decision.
