Bobby816
The interesting thing that could develop in the coming weeks is Flacco getting healthy. And if Darnold looks bad by the time he’s healthy and Gase knows he’s on the hot seat still. Darnold could get benched

But when we have spent money well...Trumaine Johnson, CJ Mosley, Revis and Cro coming back, etc...or we're working the bargain market and hoping guys outplay their deals. Bell's running style isn't what Gase runs. So your point is that Bell needs to change his game to do what Gase wants. But that in fact isn't his running style. As I stated Gase refuses to adjust to the talent on his team. He has a style (that doesn't work) and he refuses to adjust from that. And that's why I want him gone. In any business... if a boss can't best utilize their talent (employees) things generally won't be successful. Nevermind refusing to adjust what isn't working. Bell simply needs to hit the hole, its not really rocket science. This isn't asking Alex Smith to run Bruce Arians offense. See hole, hit hole. Abe56
No chance Sam ever gets benched aside from injury
KingOfNewYork
We need to get to Week 4 vs Denver without anymore injuries. See where the team is at then. We'll have 10 days rest for week 5, Bell and others will be eligible to come back. If we can somehow get to 2-2 then we can build from that momentum. If his job is on the line and he feels Flacco will give him a better chance to win.... then yes maybe. Hopefully Sam just quits playing like crap where we don’t have to worry about it. But It is a reality that could happen if Darnold is looking bad once Glaxo is healthy.
GangGreen420
There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to play Flacco. If I’m CJ I would tell Gase that is literally not an option and will not save your job.

I dont think Flacco touches the field unless Sam cannot play physically.

I just think it’s something worth monitoring now that Flacco is getting close to being actives
GangGreen420
Replacing Anderson with Perriman... man what a great move that’s turned out to be.
Bobby816
Someone mentioned it earlier... but the lack of TE usage has been awful. Griffin and Darnold looked good together last year. He’s done nothing in 2 weeks. Herndon was supposed to have a good year back healthy after some rookie flashes. He’s done very little in 2 weeks. You think with an awful WR group these 2 would be featured. But they aren’t. And it’s very head scratching as to why.

Darnold could get benched There's no going back after that so you better be 100% sure that's what you want. The last thing I want is a lame duck coach benching the young QB. Unfortunately this has to come from JD and ownership, not Gase. Better make sure a top 2 pick is secured so Lawrence or Fields is a Jet because benching Sam means it's over in NY and Flacco or Morgan are not the answer.
