WK 1 : Let it die

BTW... that Reagor would-be like 80 yard TD bomb that should've happened at the end of the half that we all thought was on Wentz for overthrowing him a bit might not have been the case. Was listening to Greg Cosell on the Eagles podcast with Fran Duffy and he said it was a perfectly thrown ball and from the live viewing it might've looked like an overthrow, but from the coaches film you can see Reagor slowed down/hesitated and that it was on him.

Reagor was just interviewed and kinda pointed to the same.

Also......

The timing with Reagor and Hightower clearly wasn't there. The o-line pass protection clearly was shaky.

Chemistry between QB to WR and also between the offensive linemen (no surprise with the right side we started) just wasn't there.

Hopefully they gel as the season goes along and we can pull out enough games to keep our head above water till it comes together. These next 2 games will be critical. It's pretty early to say a game is a must win, but with our schedule after the Bengals in week 3.... this Rams game probably is one.

Examining the 8 sacks and assigning blame. Seems like there was issues at every level, OL, RB, TE, and QB.

Yep. There was blame to be spread all around.

I'm not absolving Wentz of blame, but we just completely failed on offense and there is lots of blame to put on Pederson for not putting Wentz in situations to succeed. The run game didn't do jack and Washington was just allowed to pin their ears back. The OL and RBs had lots of breakdowns in pass protection. The rookie receivers didn't come back to balls and ran some shoddy routes.

We won't always play this inconsistent all around. I think getting Johnson back will help, but we have a lot of work to do. Hopefully Peters is better than what he showed this past Sunday, cause if he isn't that is probably a bigger issue than Herbig or Pryor at RG.

JJAW played 28 snaps (41%) on Sunday!? Jesus, I assumed he hardly saw the field (which would be bad in its' own regard). Obviously he's a bust, but he's now going on the next level and entering the conversation for worst football player to be taken in the 1st 2 rounds. This pick will haunt us for years to come with 2 studs we passed on, Terry and Slayton, playing us 2x a year.
