Making a list of confirmed prospects Browns have shown interest in.

Demetric Felton wr/rb UCLA

Greg Newsome II cb Northwestern

Anthony Schwartz wr Auburn

Georgia Pro Day

Azeez Ojulari edge

Tyson Campbell cb

Eric Stokes cb

Rondale Moore wr Purdue

Jaycee Horn cb South Carolina

Kwity Paye edge Michigan

that’s all I have heard so far.

Edges, Corners, and Speed WR options that should be available in the 2nd or later. Makes a ton of sense.

Newsome man I like

But I don’t see a absolute stud. He’s a good players I think he’ll have a long career if he stays healthy. He’s definitely going to make WRs compete weekly, but I don’t see a superstar playmaker.

I definitely like Farley and Horn more and I think they’ll be some D line talent or linebacker talent that’ll be on the board that I’ll take over Newsome.

Based on this, methinks we’re gonna sign Clowney and draft a cornerback at 26. My guess would be Greg Newsome, if Farley didn’t slide.

The last thing we need is another DB made of glass.

Let’s say we sign Clowney.

Draft:

1. Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

2. Jabril Cox, LB, LSU

3. Shaun Wade, CB, OSU

3. Tommy Togiai, DT, OSU

4. Richard Lecounte, S, Georgia

4. Tyler Shelvin, DT, LSU

5. Sage Surratt, WR, Wake Forest

6. Trevon Grimes, WR, Florida

7. Lamont Wade, S, Penn State

Lemme stop you right there before you cream in your pants. Jaycee Horn is gonna go in the top 10 now after that pro day.

I’m a homer too, like it.

nice.  Between he and Wade and Horn, that would be some serious talent. I like where you’ve gone with this so far.

I like the pick, but I have my doubts about two rookie DT’s making the roster. We’ve already 4, doubt we carry 6.  Who’s the odd guy/s out?

same situation here.  I think 2 rookies have a hard time making the roster.  I’d gamble on Grimes first.

Small, but athletic and productive.  I could see him possibly making the roster and being a STer. Not a bad gamble R7.

I like this mock a lot, but I’d probably look to replace a WR and DT with a player at a position where they’re more likely to make the roster.  LB, OT, perhaps RB.

What happened last year ?

They moved him to outside corner and he was baaaaaad.

Honestly, you can see why in those highlights. Practically none of them are in man coverage or ball tracking. It's all tackling.

Which is why I'm not taking him in the first two rounds. He's a great tackler, but he doesn't have the nose for tracking the ball in the air that I want from a corner, even a slot corner. In the first couple rounds I want high impact guys, guys who create sacks and turnovers. Wade is more of a safety net, a guy who limits the downside you have out of his position but who is what he is and doesn't offer a ton of upside on any given play. Those guys are good to have! But I'm not spending a 1st/2nd round pick on it. And I don't think we'd even be having the conversation if he wasn't from OSU (See - Elijah Molden, who imo is a better slot against the pass but who is rarely mentioned on here as even a 2nd round pick and never as a 1st).
