swede700
Regret is dependent upon the structure of the contracts. I'm not sure the Jets actually regret the Bell contract because they can get out of it after this year. It didn't work out, but they didn't really handicap themselves. The Gurley move was, by far, the most regrettable, since the Rams ended up cutting him even before he started his extension. Arizona was just plain dumb for extending a guy to big money contract coming off an injury, but if it doesn't work out in Houston, they can get out of it after this season too. I think if the structures of contracts allow teams to get out of it after 2-3 years, I don't think that's going to be regrettable.
SemperFeist
I would say that’s a bargain for 2020 and 2021.

JDBrocks
A little more palatable. I still don't agree in principle, but if you are going to give him a contract that looks like a pretty good one.
swede700
So, next year we'll be on Brian O'Neill watch (and to a certain extent, Harrison Smith, as he will be entering the final year of his deal then as well).
