We're on a short week, and we're facing the #1 pick in this year's draft. The Golden Child. The Chosen One for the Bengals. Our kicker might be unemployed by game time. Our kicker WILL be unemployed by the time the club finishes breaking down game film. I believe that the rumor that they handed Austin Seibert a BUS ticket as the club arrived at BWI Airport for the return flight to be just that. A rumor. We've seen this show before, but this episode is different. This club has more talent than we've had in a LONG time. This is a game that we SHOULD win. But will we? We're back at home, and should be playing in front of a few of our fans. Thursday night in Prime time. It is Cleveland against the World again this year. It is great for the NFL talking heads if we continue our forever. Sure we spent most of our Sunday doing what we typically do. Getting upset when...... Which of course can lead to (for those of you who aren't Boomers like myself, that's Steubenville's own Dean Martin) But we've got a chance to right the ship this week, and get back to .500. Our trip to Ratbird central is done for this year. We've got a RB attack that any club in the NFL would trade for tomorrow. I really don’t want to come out of Thursday night already believing that Cincinnati’s rookie quarterback is better than what we have. To be honest man, I need to see progress with what we have on offense to feel good regardless of the result. I feel like the progress can come in time as the season progresses and people learn the new systems, but this team needs some pressure off their back.
