ragevsuall17
Forget predicting Ws and Ls and records... how are you guys feeling about the season. What are some things you expect to happen? I'll start... I expect Henry to start slowish once again, then blow up again as the season wears on. He'll end up top 3 in rushing yards after looking slow out the gate With all the attention on Henry and AJ, I expect CD84 to to bounce back and crack 1k yards. Jonnu fails to live up to his amazing athletic potential. Clowney will not hit double digit sacks, but will be our defensive MVP. He's going to be a vital part of the defense and will earn a ridiculous contract to stay in Nashville after the season. Landry will hit double digits benefiting from all the attention directed to Clowney and Simmons The defense finishes as a top 5 unit, and will be ranked highly in sacks and turnovers Evans surpasses Brown as our top ILB... leaving Brown as the odd man out in FA. Goatkowski regains his form and means the difference as we look at seeding down the stretch Wilson sits all year. We knew he needed work on his technique but I'm not sure any of us were prepared for how immature and/or volatile his mental health was. Saffold will take it upon himself to mentor him going into 2021. All hope is not lost, but its not a good start/year for him. Henry, Lewan, Clowney, and a DB (Byard, Butler, or Adoree) end up as All Pro's. Simmons makes the 2nd team. We'll be one of the last 4 teams standing at the end of the year once again. Mesa_Titan
Yeah I have high expectations. I don’t think Henry will start out very slow, maybe from what we expect, but I have no doubt he’s going to murder the jags in week 2 at the very least. I also think the defense is going to be really good barring injuries, it’s being highly underrated around the league, imo. I just think that for the first time since the McNair days, we are a complete team all around, we don’t seem to have any glaring weakness. Not the best everywhere, but above average pretty much everywhere on the field. I love where we are.
TitanSlim
I agree with you on a number of your predictions (the Jonnu, Wilson and Clowney ones particularly). Some thoughts/predictions for me -Tannehill doesn’t play quite at the same level as last year but it’s clear he has turned the corner in his career. Also think he’s the first Titans QB to pass for over 4000 yards, with about 28 TDs and 11 INTs. -Derrick Henry doesn’t run for as many yards but still comfortably rushes for over 1200 yards and double digit TDs for the third straight season. -We once again set Titans history as AJ Brown goes for over 1100 receiving yards and Corey Davis gets just above 1000, the first time we get two WRs over 1000 yards. Also think Davis sets a career high in TDs. -A year and a half removed from his ACL injury and with the addition of Clowney, Jeffery Simmons has a breakout, borderline All Pro type season. He won’t have a huge sack number(think somewhere between 5-8) but his impact will be enormous. -By season’s end, Kristian Fulton overtakes Malcolm Butler as our 2nd best CB and is not too far behind Adoree. -With the Texans lost of talent, the Colts relying on a potentially washed up Phillip Rivers and the Jags lack of talent (week 1 doesn’t change anything with my thinking on them), the Titans win the division for the first time since 2008, somewhat comfortably, with an 11-5 record. We have a good team with a good coach that was just in the AFC Championship. Expectations should be high for the team.
