NateDawg Posted September 14, 2020 Share Posted September 14, 2020 I hope he becomes a franchise quarterback. The second best alternative is that he makes it obvious that he is not. We don’t want five years of just good enough quarterback play to not be replaced. It’s year three. He has good weapons, adequate blocking, and a great ground game around him. The only thing people associate Alex Smith with is being the guy taken before Aaron Rodgers. That’s unfortunately what has happened to Baker. He is “the guy taken before Lamar.” Alex is also known for a chaotic first several years going through HCs. However, he’s also known as a guy who has to have every single thing go right for him to succeed.
