I get the appeal of Raymond as a deep threat, but his catch radius just limits him so much as a legitimate outside receiver. I feel ok somewhat because of the way our offense functions. A decent WR should b able to find some space in a play action heavy offense. We miss AJ's explosion and playmaking ability but some like Humphries and Raymond hopefully can show enough speed to excel on the crossing routes off play action. The lack of OTAs, a true training camp and preseason to get players ready has reared it's ugly head in regards to injuries. The NFL would have been smart to push the start of the regular season to a later date and got a couple preseason games in early September after using August entirely for training camp/getting the players in shape.
