Its good but they didn't really explore the bad characters in this movie. THE DUKE Posted May 28, 2021 Share Posted May 28, 2021 Don't get me wrong, Geena Davis is really good in A League of Their Own, supporting cast good, story is very good, but this is a god-mode performance from Tom Hanks. While there were some aspects of it I really liked, I didn’t like the ending, which I hadn’t yet seen at the time of that post. I still understand the critical praise though. kingseanjohn Posted June 1, 2021 Share Posted June 1, 2021 Just watched Army of the Dead. Zack Snyder always finds one thing and overuses it. It's usually slo-mo, but in this it's going in/out of focus. Overall it was a decent movie. Not sure if it's worth 2 1/2 hours unless you have the time to kill, like on an airplane. I did enjoy the different take on the zombie genre. They did some decent character development, but I felt it was too much considering the genre and lack of any real payoff with any of it. Not sure how I feel about the choices made with zombie anatomy/dexterity/strength/intelligence. Also too many dumb plans/choices by the characters. I get it's a movie but sometimes it's overkill.
