Bowler1215
Finestkind on Paramount+ wasn't anything special. Ben Foster and Toby Wallace star as half brothers. Tommy Lee Jones is Foster's father who has a fishing boat called Finestkind which gets impounded. The two brothers agree to make a drug deal to get the money for the boat. Problem is what I described is the second half of the movie. The first half sets up characters and relationships even possible relationships with Jenna Ortegas character liking TW character(or is she setting them up?) The characters weren't all that compelling and it took a long time to get to the story. Not a bad movie, but for me this is one and done 6/
Tugboat
Did "The Creator" watching and notched another movie i don't think i really "get". It was cool i guess, but it bounced between a variety of themes and ended on...idk wtf what? It seemed a lot more artfully created than Rebel Moon though, as ironic as that seems. I liked the concept and the world building but the script was brutal. Sure felt like it was written by ChatGPT which would make sense considering the premise of the movie lol. Ken Watanabe was awesome as usual.
skywindO2
Leave The World Behind was fun. I’m glad the daughter got to see the friends finale.

Honestly though, it's not the masterpiece some people make it out to be out of nostalgia or whatever. It's still good. It's got definite big moments and a lot of suspense. But overall, a lot of it is pretty "slow" and feels like you wanna prod it with a stick to move things along. Or maybe that's just modern ADHD brain. Not sure.

I didn't really get the AI script feeling with The Creator tbh. At least, not the same way i did with Rebel Moon that felt blatant. It wasn't really...original with The Creator, but it felt like it was at least touching on some human themes in a way that AI still can't do properly at all. But who knows. There was a crapload of very AI CGI'd visuals. That much was evident.
THE DUKE
Almost Famous It had been a while since I watched this and it still connects so well. Great characters with great interaction from a great supporting cast. It's the Russell/William interactions that really make the movie shine though, just a fantastic screenplay from Cameron Crowe. The actor who portrayed the main character hasn’t had a notable acting role outside this movie.
THE DUKE
John Wick: Chapter 3: Parabellum Was 'John Wick 3: Murder Porn' already taken by someone as a title, because that's pretty much all this movie was. What was so great about the first one is it straddled the line of absurd, stylish, and had just enough of a hint of plausibility to not just completely take you out of it. The second one stepped a little too far over that line to where it was more of a pale imitation of the first one, but I at least enjoyed it. This third one left that line waaaaay behind. They leaned much too far into their own world building and it's mostly unwatchable unless you're just there for the murder porn. The last 20 minutes or so at least made the story make a little sense and I'm invested enough to where I will probably watch the 4th one at some point. Maybe even soon, then I can be done with the series except for the occasional watch of the first movie.
Sllim Pickens
Just watched Saltburn last night. Definitely not a movie for everyone. I enjoyed it but it was twisted at times.

Tugboat
I watched "The Last Thing He Wanted" and it was actually pretty solid i thought. For a Netflix film, it felt very solid.
