I can get on board with 4...I can't imagine that they would push him back faster than that given the typical high ankle sprain recovery, though at the same time, he's a non mobile quarterback, so maybe it's not going to need as much time to at least get healthy enough to play

Honestly, not a great year to have a high pick. I don't know that it's going to have a significant impact at the top. Maybe. It's hard to say. Do I think someone like Sewell is going to be significantly impacted by the season barring injury? Probably not. Same things for Lawrence, Fields...maybe Lance. I do think that there will be some volatility, but not really more so than usual at the top. Mostly, I think you'll just miss the single year risers

If we have to scrape by for a win, or somehow lose....then the season is in trouble Well, we won this comfortably despite being incredibly banged up. So thats good We're out Jimmy G, Mostert, Kittle, Samuel, Richburg, Ford, Thomas, Sherman...hopefully we'll be full strength soon with these guys coming back soon. Our backups are going to have to manage until they're back, no choice. Bosa is the dagger though. We're going to need everyone on the DL to step up. But we're going to miss his disruptive presence. Hope he's full strength next season..
oldman9er
We got this. 15-1
J-ALL-DAY
Kittle may be back next week but why risk it on that field? Even with all these injuries, the team is too well coach and has too much talent to get a high draft pick. Poor Trent Williams who thought he finally had a shot at winning a SB.

He looked completely unprepared when he came in, even though he had all of halftime and most of the 2nd quarter to get himself together mentally. He's going to have to be immensely better next week and going forward to hold down the fort until Jimmy gets back behind center.

You would hope he doesn't but who knows. With Reed, you could afford to hold Kittle back until the team returns to SF for week 4.

Depends on what your definition is of "high". 6 wins gets you close to the top 10. The easy part of hte schedule is the front, and we are going to be doing that with Mullens...if he goes something like 1-3 or 1-4, I could easily see us finish with 6 wins total. I don't think it's likely, I'd gauge something more like 7 or 8, but some back luck / bounces and we could certainly scoot into there. Who knows how the rest of the season will go with injuries, but we are likely to have Sherman, Jimmy, Kittle, Ford, Blair and Deebo back within the next 4-6 weeks. The talent level will still be vey high, even without Bosa. The team should be able to win the next two weeks even if it is Nick at QB, though the Eagles game can go either way but I'm not impressed one bit with them. So when the schedule gets harder, the team will get a lot of the injured players back. They will win more than 6 games. Still 8-9, and if Jimmy can returns in three weeks, team still has a shot to win double digit games.

I'd be shock if we beat Philly with Mullens. Their front four can still bring it and Mullens is worst than Jimmy when he's pressured so I'm not really optimistic there. The Dolphins are sneaky. Played the Bills tough today. Again, a game Mullens can win but its far from certain. And even when we do get healthy, games against teams like the Saints, Hawks, Pats, and Cards were already going to be tough with us fully healthy. If we lose guys like Bosa and Thomas indefinitely, those teams become that much harder. Our font four is the heart of the defense. No Bosa, no Thomas as a rotationally 3T and Ford may or may not be healthy at this point and we're just not the same defense. Not close.
