Sounds like the Bills just cleared up about $8M with a restructure with Diggs...anyway they are going after Julio or just clearing up some space for their own players now? Per Ian Rapoport on the McAfee show

Could be for Zach Ertz.

Dont see Julio as a reasonable choice for the Bills. Moving the cap to put diggs cap numbers now at 17.2 mil over the next 2 years each season plus the capital it will cost to trade for julio and then him wanting a new deal just seems financially irresponsible. The bills GM went all in on diggs last year and dont see him needing to do it again. Having to pay Allen either this summer or next which will consist of dak like money, I dont see him having 2 wr around the 15 mil range per receiver.

He has made it clear the two weaknesses on offense he would like to work on this offseason was the run game and the te position. The bills have a guy in Knox who shows potential with flashes of top tier talent but then will follow it up with a bone head move. So ertz would be a wise choice to bring in the veteran they need to be consistent on catching the ball and being that big redzone threat they can count on.

Another option is CB2 with Steven Nelson or Richard Sherman. Followed up with a 1tech DT. Both positions can use competition but neither are dire.

Demovsky is notable because he was on record as doubting the initial reports that ARod wanted out IIRC, and shot down the rumors of trade talks on Draft Day 1 (he then has changed course on A-Rod's intentions since early May).

Honestly, it seems more like a staredown between the GB FO and potential buyers at this point.

I don't think Minshew would show up to Dallas/Atlanta for another backup spot. I doubt Colts/Jags would trade in-division. Jets could have a competetion between Zach Wilson and Minshew, but I can't see Gardner hanging onto that gig for long.

So, guess that brings it down to Carolina? Minshew could probably beat out Sam Darnold. He could beat out Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock as well, but those are his options if he's really looking for a starting job.

Wanted the Pats to go after Minshew before the draft, outside of the ironic hype, there's the makings of a decent QB there. If a first round pick had produced like Minshew in his first year the press would say he was the starter for the next decade+.

Even if Minshew did look better in camp, no way the Panthers aren't rolling with Darnold in Week 1 given we gave up a future 2nd and 4th for him.  Even if we drafted Fields, I think Darnold would have started no matter what - gotta look to get some kind of return on investment.

It's crazy how draft position follows players for years and years no matter their performance.

There will always be questions about if it's a fluke for later round picks and always 3rd and 4th chances given to high round picks.

Is holding on to a player that is deemed available publicly for trade help or hurt the team trading him? Eagles (Ertz) and Falcons (julio) if both teams are destined to trade these guys is holding on to them helping or hurting their draft capital in return? Usually when selling a home your best offer comes from the first bidder, is that likely the same for a player being traded? Outside of counting on an opposing team to have an injury what benefit is it having to hold on to these guys the longer you wait the more likely the value goes down so what would be the reason to hold on to them other then being stubborn thinking value is higher then what the market is offering. These two if teams truly want to move him should have been gone by now.
