MOSteelers56
I'd rather have Banner, but at least Hawkins knows the system. He'll be a good backup. Hopefully Chuks steps it up.

jebrick
He can back up Chucks. They are very thin at OT.
3rivers
hopefully it goes well here. OL needs to help the team, it can't fall apart. The injury bug already is making it's way, it better not spoil our season
Livewire
Hawkins hasn't been able to stay healthy while he was in Pittsburgh.

And it better not be a trade for a former steeler like beachum or hubbard either. I am expecting more injuries overall from he nfl this season and hopes are the steelers get some decent players in the process

At this point we hope he can stay healthy to provide depth (that hopefully will not be needed). You get him some reps in a game if your team has a big lead and you are trying to move the chains on the ground and run out the clock. Injuries are hard to predict. Sometimes it is conditioning and sometimes these guys are young and their bodies are still growing right out of college.Hopefully his body has matured and gotten accustomed to the rigors of NFL football. 14 hours ago, 3rivers said: that's a concern, but if he gets hurt, then they need to get someone else I suppose. The Steelers typically like the players that they draft and invest in. Many leave for GR$$ner pastures and playing opportunity. I think it is good that they bring some of these guys back that they would have kept under different circumstances. And it better not be a trade for a former steeler like beachum or hubbard either. I would be really surprised if the Steelers offered a trade for a vet because of salary. I think they would prefer to sign someone of the street where you have more contract and cap flexibility. If Beechum or Hubbard were free agents, I think they would jump on either of them in a heartbeat. However, probably not via trade. Again too much $$$. I am expecting more injuries overall from he nfl this season and hopes are the steelers get some decent players in the process I hope the team can dodge the injury bug. Lord knows that they have had some significant and inopportune injuries over the past five or six years. This is the most well balanced (off/def/ST) team the Steelers have had in quite some time. RamblinMan99
Just keep running Connor and Snell on the left side of the ball and we'll be just fine.
