Dude is one of those grit your teeth and bare it type players, so I wouldnt completely rule it out. He broke his hand last year in week 16...never missed time and really didn't even hear any complaints about it. Dude is REALLY tough. I don't doubt that he can play through the pain, the question is whether or not it's a good idea. Seriously this crap again? The "bounties" were things every team were doing, which was discussed by multiple sources already and the Saints were just made an example because it was convenient since the NFL needed to look like it was taking player safety more seriously. I'm sorry not every team was taping other teams initial script run through practices. Some of the other ones... yeah probably.

I’m sure this makes Viking fans feel so much better.

For the record, I’m not saying the Saints are wrong, I’m saying nobody likes you. But that’s not necessarily that bad a thing is it?
sammymvpknight
Thomas is out this week but wasn’t placed on the 3week IR...do apparently the Saints are hopeful to getting him back next week. Not a lock but the outside chance is worth more than the extra roster spot. Edited September 19, 2020 by sammymvpknight

I hope there is some continuation of a short term injury list that doesnt count against roster for the post-pandemic world.

I don't understand why there isn't more flexibility on IR. With the premium placed on player safety wouldn't it make more sense to allow teams some flexibility so injured players can get the right help and then be playing again sooner rather then have them out way longer then they need be or pushed back in way sooner to save that roster spot.

Exactly! Keep the three week IR, its footballs DL.
