onejayhawk
The Chargers have a stout defense and a great pass rush. The offense is without Philip Rivers for the first time in over a decade. Longtime back up and three year Bills starter Tyrod Taylor is the replacement behind center. The opening betting line is Chiefs +8.5 on the road. That is certainly possible, but I would not bet with confidence. The Chiefs face a really good defense, playing at home. J
RedGold
Will be interesting to see how the offense adjusts. Chargers played our offense very well last year, albeit we were never 100% healthy. Will be interesting to see if the play quarters, Wondering if they trust Robinson a bit more on the underneath stuff (Hardmans low snap count week 1), or if they were just showcasing Robinson in primetime. I see another successful week for Clyde if defenses keep putting focus on controlling our deep ball.

onejayhawk
The team has released an updated depth chart. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/lists/kansas-city-chiefs-updated-depth-chart-week-2/ No transactions have been made for injured players, so the rotation at C and CB should be viewed accordingly. Humble_Beast
Is this crazy to think Sammy Watkins is going have a great year a new Sammy Watkins? More then a week 1 fluke? I know most people are saying Sammy is just a week 1 fluke, but will this be his year - another very good week 1 - wr 2 on a pass heavy KC team. Which is by far the best offense in the NFL - look at his playoff run. 2nd, AFC, Super Bowl was a stud - has chemistry with Mahomes - hardman wasn’t used much week 1 after Reid had awhile to gameplan week 1 - Hill is more of a big play then target monster This may be a new Sammy, because he balled out to help Chiefs win a super bowl. If he stays healthy and motivated, for sure can have a big year. No questioning the talent, but there's always games where it just looks like he's going through the motions. onejayhawk
Staying healthy has always been the issue for Watkins. The chemistry he has with Mahomes is amazing. The inside-out route he ran on Richard Sherman is great, but it comes to nothing if PM II doesn't drop the dime. Still, double him all game and you can slow him down. onejayhawk
Thursday injury list: Player Injury Participation* DT Khalen Saunders Elbow DNP DE Alex Okafor Hamstring DNP CB Charvarius Ward Hand DNP C Austin Reiter Knee FP OG Kelechi Osemele Ankle FP DT Derrick Nnadi Ankle FP DB Juan Thornhill Knee FP RB Darrel Williams Hamstring FP Player Injury Participation* DE Joey Bosa Triceps LP RB Justin Jackson Quad DNP TE Donald Parham Illness DNP RG Trai Turner Knee FP CB Casey Heyward Knee FP WR Mike Williams Shoulder FP With Saunders out for what appears to be a month at least, Turk Wharton may be getting more snaps. Watch the interception. That was Wharton blocking downfield for Sneed. Both these guys can haul assets. Update: All three of the Chiefs players are officially out. Justin Jackson is doubtful. All others are full participants in practice. Edited September 18, 2020 by onejayhawk
Chiefer
I’m surprised we haven’t IRd Saunders for three weeks, he may be coming back sooner if that’s the case Edited September 19, 2020 by Chiefer
onejayhawk
They may want to wait for the game outcome. Pennel is back for game three. If they wanted to make a move it would likely be for a DB. Pickings are thin. J

onejayhawk
Hoyett was the only restricted player on the PS, so this makes sense. With Pennel and Breeland coming back, on a known schedule, the team probably wants to avoid bringing in an outside player. It begs the question, who gets dropped when Pennel gets activated. Jakuvious
This is going to be brutal if they can't remember how to tackle a RB out of the flat. That's all they have right now.
