Offense

It’s another season in Rome and we have the luxury of having zero new players on the offensive line and returning three of the four starting WR.  With the lack of preseason games and shared practices, we feel this is a huge asset.  We plan on running our general hurry up offense to keep Ivory from using their depth and rotating players in and out of the defense.  This up tempo offense should quickly tire out a team week one that hasn’t had a lot of football time experience

Adoree Jackson is clearly a stud in the slot for Ivory so we likely aren’t going to challenge him .  unless he stumbles.  Peterson had a down season last year and whether that was because of age or lack of PEDs is up for debate (noramlly it’s over the counter but there are legit suggestions he tried to cover this up).  Thus we aren’t as scared of him as we would have been two seasons ago.  We’ll take a couple shots against him with Cooper or Juju.  However, the majority of our targets are going at Bradley Roby and insert Rookie here (likely diggs)

Juju and Will Fuller will likely be the recipients of these looks as we expect both these wide receivers to have huge years.  Fuller looked great week one and finally looks healthy (god bless keep it up).  Juju has an actual NFL quarterback this season so we expect his productivity to go back up as well,  Brees first and second reads will normally be between these two game breaking WR.

We can target these guys as Brees is the ultimate quarterback to have in a hurry up situation. He gets to read the defense and use hot routes and audibles to find the best matchups.  We will occasionally even bring on five WR with Crowder to test the Ivory Coast CB group even more.  If they did not decide to bring a fifth corner, this set will be used more often if they are showing a lot of man coverage

Now just because we line up four wide does not mean we are abandoning the run.  Myles Garrett is a sieve against the run and we will take a lot of off tackle and zone runs to his side.  Lindsay is a great read runner and we have the best tackle tandem in the BDL.  With Atkins out, Ivory coast will also be stuck with a subpar run stuffin tackle (Hurst) or two that are complete busts at it, (Godchaux, Larry O)   If we see one of these two lined up next to Garrett it’s gonna be open season on that side of the ball. We will then play more 3 WR one TE and get to the second level and meh safety group..

We will also incorporate a lot of screens to slow down the Ivory Coast pass rush and serve as an extension of our run game  If there is off coverage, Brees will even run a couple WR screens.  Swift will get in the game when Lindsay needs a break and we still have our two TE for short distances with Mack serving as the short yardage back and Braden Smith coming in at FB.  We will also run a solid amount of three wide receiver,  one TE sets just to keep the defense on it’s toes

Up front, we feel we have a top 3, if not the best offensive line in BDL depending on if Lindstrom plays up to his first round pedigree.  If he struggles, we have the always reliable Ted Karras to step in.  Most teams would be really fearful of the Ivory Coast edge rushers but Tyron Smith and Ryan Ramcyk are up to the task.  Our RB will likely chip an edge on his way out to his route and we can always help with a guard as their interior doesn’t scare us with Atkins out.  Brees as always will know who the hot route is on blitz

We will use motion to see if it is zone or man.  If zone we will run trips on one side and flood that zone with seems flats and out  with flood concepts.  Trubisky will get two or three plays in the Tayson Hill WC qb role

Tl/dr:  Spread out the defense and hurry up offense.  Captain Drew leads the charge attack corner depth, run at Garrett.  Thier D strength is our O Strength

Defense

Ivory Coast brings in a young QB in Danny Dimes with a solid O line and some intriguing weapons.  Our defense is ready to go however and it should be a fun matchup on this side of the ball.

Up front , we have the always dependable Carlos Dunlap (9 sacks in 12 games last year) and last year’s breakout rusher for Rome Dante Fowler Jr.  in the middle we have the meat wall of Brockers and Tomlinson ready to chew up blocks while letting the linebackers roam and make plays.  This is one of the best run stopping defensive lines in BDL and it should do a great job containing Chubb to minimal lanes.

On the outside we will match up Marlon Humphrey on McLaurin which should take him out of the equation.  Curtis Samual is a solid slot option but we have one of the best slot corners in football with DRC.  On the opposite side we will have our track star Jamel Dean lined up with whatever track star DeSean, Robby they put there.  William Jackson serves as the extra track star to match up in four wide.  Milano will grab Chubb our of the backfield while LVE gets Cook or Rudolph..  If they go two TE, Hicks will get Rudoplh while LVE gets Cook as we run NRC off.

In long down and distance we put Dunlap inside with Takk on edge while taking out the other fat guy and putting in interior pass rush specialist Malik Jackson.  Brown rotates in when a fat guy needs a breather and Takk for when a edge needs a break on early downs, Floyd on pass rushing downs.  Milano is the every down backer.  We will run some stunts on the Lewis side of the field to see if the rookie is able to handle the look.

In the Nickel base We will be playing our general cover one putting Boston in the Box and having Allen play deep part of the field shading towards the track star side of the field.  Boston allows for us to have an extra man in the box on early downs and keeps him close to his middle robber zone.  In the 4-3 we will mix in a lot more safety blitzes and zone blitz looks as we are not concerned with rudolph or cook deep as much as we would be a WR.  Allen would be deep center fielder in this formation.

Per usual, we will mix in cover 2 man, cover 2 zone and some cover three flats looks to keep the offense guessing with some occasional blitzing.  We are gonna make the young qb be patient and go on long drives if they want to score.  We feel that is a recipe for success this week for our defense

Tl/dr. Trust the corners, cover one look allows extra safety in Box.  nothing fancy, make them earn it..  Mix up the defense and believe in the talent

I really hope this isn't serious

I did vote for IC. Had 0 to do with tldr. Obviously you're going to win and nearly everyone is gonna vote for you as they should. But since votes affect standings I also felt it fair to not make it a 16 vote sweep

Having said that. If he had turned one in on time with the tldr at the bottom... i would ha e voted for IC

Well moving forward I'll be voting against any team that has Williamsport in front of the team game plans.  Hope you understand

Idc. I think the TLDR thing is silly and lazy and I dont get why its even included i. The gameplan. But at least you admit you're gonna be bias the rest of the way
