Return of the FB

Well copy cat league strikes again.

2019 saw a number of teams play more heavy with a FB.

2020 is seeing a lot more doing it.  Almost everyone.

Been a long time.  FB position went way of do do for awhile.  Nice to see some coaches rediscover it.

Tricky thing will be getting FBs when CFB doesn’t hardly use them.

Found this article just on the crux of the 2019 season beginning. It charts the usage of 21 personnel sets the last 15 year or so, and how it's gone down. However the last couple of years those packages maybe on the rise.

Who else was using a fullback in 2019 in their personnel packages extensively other than the 49ers? I'm legit curious.

Any team that runs the Shannahan ZBS scheme. So San Francisco (Shanny Jr.), Denver (Scangerello), Minnesota (Kubiak) and now Cleveland (Stefanski).

I know New England, Green Bay and Pittsburgh have traditionally used a FB in certain packages as well.
