MVP is 100% deserved. Dude is legit. But that number is shockingly low. He was a starter for like 10 games last year, right? So 26 games (?) with 4300 yards is just over 150 yards a game. EDIT: He has played in 31 games. He has been the starter in 22. So its more like ~190ish YPG. Thats not so shocking. Passing YPG 2018 with Lamar: 75.1(!!!) Passing YPG 2019 with Lamar: 208.

But you do expect at least 'ballpark' averages in bulk category. 190 yards fits ballpark. 150 yards doesnt.

Yeah, the per-game averages are going to be significantly skewed because while he only started 7 games last year he played in all of them so he technically gets credit for 16 games haha, last year in starts he averaged about 170 passing a game.
diamondbull424
Profootball reference has listed Lamar’s season as the greatest (tied with 2006 LDT) season for a player in NFL history (SB era). Lamar scored a 26 AV, the best QB season prior to this point was Tom Brady (2007) with a 24 AV and then to be followed by Aaron Rodgers (2011) and Steve Young (93/94) with a 23 AV. FWIW Patrick Mahomes in 2018 was provided a 22 AV. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/av_single_season.htm AV = Approximate Value = “It is our attempt to attach a single number to every player-season since 1960.”
Soko
Stolen from Twitter: Joe Thuney, since being drafted, has played in 99% of NE’s snaps. He has allowed one sack in the last two seasons and hasn’t been penalized this year. Set to be an UFA.

So there’s nothing to fear.😊

Wentz is incredibly safe when throwing shallow passes, however I would like to see him take more shots down field next year when presumably we actually have people capable of catching a pass downfield.
