What your stats don't show is what does Dak do in crunch time, when the team is down. 8-8 is just a good a stat as what you posted because you can't blame the lack of help on offense.

I do give credit for Dak not having the defeatist approach this year that he did earlier in his career, however his stats are somewhat misleading because I can remember a number of times where the game was more or less already decided but they either ran the score up just continuing to pass whether it made sense to or not, or on the other hand the game being already lost late in the game and a lot of the numbers came in extended garbage time.

Dak has top 3 comeback wins and game winning drives in the NFL since he entered.

So try again.

Didn't that get proven in another thread that by average in most of those the Cowboys are down by 3 points lol.

That's not what I'm trying to get at. I'm trying to figure out which is the cause and which is the effect, or if there's some mutual situation which causes both of them to struggle specifically that leads to this.

As far as I can tell neither played good when the other did not. It seems that they're both always up or always down.

Yes it's an entirely misleading stat. How many come back wins did Dak have this year? basically none, and this was arguably Dak's best season. It's a garbage metric.

I'm not sold on it being misleading but I see he "basically none" this year.

Stats can deceive. We all know that the Cowboys are at a level below where they should be in terms of w/l. Gotta put it on the QB. Sorry Matts
