McCaffrey is 274 receiving yards away from becoming the first RB since Faulk to record an 1,000/1,000 season!

Gonna be difficult and I'm not expecting him to do it.  It's possible though.  We're passing the ball more because our defense sucks, so he's averaged 12 targets and 82 receiving yards in the last 4 games.  That average would get him 246 receiving yards in the next 3 games, so he's gonna have to up it even more.

FWIW, Faulk was at only 720 receiving yards after Week 13 (CMac has 726).  However in Week 16, Faulk had a MONSTER performance... 10 carries, 54 rushing yards, 12 receptions, 204 receiving yards.

Incoming 20 shovel passes and jet sweeps a game for CMC. Not like they're playing for anything else, get that man his records.

bow down, big things are on the horizon for this fine young man.

He has a legit chance to lead the league in yards (he's seven behind Dak for first place), TDs (he's two behind Jackson for first place), and INTs (Baker's seven behind him for second most).

Its all context.

Peyton went 23-9 in the 2 years before '01

  • 59 TDs and 30 picks in those years
  • He led the league in TDs and yards in 2000 and went to the Pro Bowl
  • He had 7 game winning drives in 1999.

Lick a W went 6-16 in the 2 years before '19

  • 38 TDs and 25 picks in those years.

And most importantly... the league average passer rating in 2001 was 78.1 this year it is 91.2
