Thats actually a very good stat and speaks volume to how good the jags dline

yea and not to take anything away from Jax secondary, which is very good and playing very well.

But man it must be nice to be able to drop 6-7 back into coverage, knowing that pressure will still happen.

That D has been very entertaining this season, and should be able to play well for a few seasons.

Only 2 old guys on defense and only 1 is a key contributor and that is campbell snd even then hes only 31.  The other gut is a 2 down guy at most in Paul Posluszny(33) as the team has moved jack into the nickle.  Paul is a free agent to be and its debatable if we even resign him. Jack looked okay at mlb in his limited preseason snaps there and that could allow us potentially a better fit as a sam lb.

church could be replaced in a few years(hes 29 so its not a pressing need).

Since the "We're on to Cincinnati" game Tom Brady is 51-11 (.822), incl post-season. His stats in that time:

1457/2209 (66%) - 17119 (7.8ypa) - 132 TDs  27 INTs (5:1 ratio) for a rating of 104.2

Pocket awareness status: under appreciated.

QBR under pressure is a staggering 134.

Hello all, I'm brand new here so I'll try to start gently. I'm  I the only one who thinks the caliber of play is lacking? Dropped in the face balls, run down the field turn around/run straight down the field (that's a pass pattern?), throw the ball to a guy who is triple covered...etc?

2019

We begin again.

W1

- LeVeon Bell forced nine missed tackles on 17 attempts, showing that his elite ability is still alive and well.

Goff posted the worst passer rating among Week 1 quarterbacks on throws where he had 2.5 seconds or more in the pocket. His 28.5 rating on Monday — 9-for-24 with a pick — was a far cry from his 2018 mark of 96.9, which ranked 11th.

- In run defense, no team had a better average depth of tackle than the Bears, who met the Packers’ running backs after just 2.05 yards on average. Only six teams were even below 3.0.

The Cowboys allowed pressure to get to Dak Prescott on just 6.3% of their pass-blocking snaps. That was more than 8% better than the next best team.

Guess how many times buffalo used play action against NYJ?

ONCE!

But it was negated by a penalty, so zero times.

There is generally a positive correlation between successful teams and play action use. BUF - use more PA. Get the run game going.

Yeah it was tough to run the ball. It seemed like game plan was to throw in first half and then come out running in the 2nd half. But what made it difficult is we didn't possess the ball much in the 3rd quarter. Jets received kickoff. We got pinned at 2 yard line. And then refs most likely called an incorrect safety. Ball was likely out of endzone based on where Gore's body was but no video evidence cause you couldn't actually see the ball.

But once we actually got the ball end of 3rd and in the 4th. Our running game came to life when we started getting Singletary the ball. He had 4 carries with gains of 20 yards, 23 yards, 12 yards, and 15 yards. Combined For 70 yards and 17.5 yards a carry.

We need to continue to get Singletary the ball and run play action once defenses start to respect him and game plan for him more.

Here's an interesting one I heard:

On the 45 pass attempts from Drew Brees on Monday night, 13 of them were against a three man Texans rush (nearly 1/3 of passing attempts).

The Texans were determined to put as many guys in coverage as possible, and it gave Brees ample time in the pocket. The ultra conservative approach from BOB/Crennell was pretty much a staple for the game, and it's why the Saints we're able to come back from a 14-3 score to win.

Thanks, BOB. Thanks, Romeo.

That sounds like some Mike Smith bs.

I know your pain.

Bell can make 800 players miss. If he continues to average 3.5 per rush, 5.3 per catch and 4.0 per touch then he is not a top 25 NFL RB.

He's 37th in yards per touch and 45th in yards per carry.

I think Darnold averaged like 5 yards per throw, maybe less. Bills were playing man press and sending heat, and the Jets wrs were unable to shake them at all. Bell was the lone bright spot literally turning nothing into something each time he had the ball. He's still a top 5 RB. People just have short memories.
