If you're ok with a book that isn't plot driven. I feel like it was kind of unfinished. It didn't feel like anything resolved, and not in an intentional way, like in No Country, more like he just stopped writing, and never got back to it. I'm wondering if Stella Maris finishes it, and he just published two halves of a novel in a forced format for whatever reason. Still, my tiny hometown in the middle of nowhere Tennessee got a shoutout, and that was kinda cool. And I did like seeing some of the stuff McCarthy was doing in Suttree stylistically. Like, with a few changes, it's a black comedy, but it never got there, and focuses too seriously on grief to be taken that way. Kind of puzzling.

Same here, but the shining I liked. The movie comparatively is devoid of any emotion or believability from the stiff actors and plot. Really the most overrated horror movie ever outside of visuals. Salems Lot I was wholly disappointed with.
