Forge
Yeah, the season just got torched in this game. Garoppolo is also out for a few weeks with a high ankle as well. Not even sure how severe Moster's injury is, Sherman is on IR. Ford hurt. Deebo on IR lol. Take the season off, get a super high pick that can be used on Sewell, Humphrey, Leatherwood or maybe even a QB.

Don't need them to win so don't risk em, and get some backups some experience.

This was never going to be a real game and possibly lose the season because of it is just...yuck

Again, not counting it out but you figured if it was the cause, we'd see a lot more injuries there. I'd actually be curious how the injuries there compare to the rest of the league's stadiums. showtime
Sucks. Massive blow to their defense, but they're still a really good unit. Hopefully he can come back to his normal all-pro self next season.
Xenos
Shortened offseason was going to cause more injuries IMO.

Sure you can't believe players are incapable of basic injury-preventing strength training. I guess that less offseason programs and no preseason games would mean that less players are injured in offseason and preseason and thus perhaps more are injured during the season itself? But no that can't be it either, since no matter what there's only 24 players on the field at the time... Curious to know what you mean, then. Curious to know what you mean, then. there is some significant CNS processing and spatial awareness, movement pattern kinesiology that was lost in the 6 weeks of training camp. 0 preseason games. Limited scrimmage and full contract drills for many teams. Maybe it is just heightened that the rash of injuries today feels magnified as there were fewer injuries in preseason. It will be interesting to see how these first few weeks compared to prior seasons. Most teams and the NFL have injury data and will be able to compare 2020 to the historical baseline in the first few weeks.
VigilantZombie
I mean idk... it definitely seems like conditioning is a serious problem this season
KingOfNewYork
Players bargained for less practices, pad practices, they dont want pre-season games, etc...all this is a byproduct of that. Their bodies are training for combine workouts not football. It is like an Olympic wrestler not wrestling anyone to prepare or a Boxer not sparring. Basketball players actually play basketball or at least simulate their game like actions. NFL players need to get back to hitting, getting their bodies ready for the physical toll they're going to experience, two-a-days, tackling. The NFL needs to give them some financial incentive to do so.
