Sure you made a Super Bowl. What team giving up a lion share of picks for one player really pans out? My team, the Ravens, covet draft picks. Look at New England, they too are built predominantly through the draft. Steelers? As much as I hate them are another great drafting team that knows balance is more important than one player. Think of some of the great QB’s past and present, late picks. Montana, Brady, Wilson. You can almost make a case for rolling the dice on a generational QB, but when has any other position really changed a game as a draft pick? Championships are won with defense, Atlanta keeps missing that memo. ATL has spent ample resources on the defense. For whatever reason it's just not clicking. The Julio trade has very little bearing on that at this point in time. The Julio trade was easily worth it. He has a massive effect on the team and how defenses prepare against ATL. Calvin Ridley is the leauge leader in TDs from the time he's steped into the leauge largely because of him. Not to mention Julio elevates his game in the playoffs. Keep in mind they were going to draft Gabe Camiri with one of the 1st they traded Julio for. If not for two horrendous collapses SF ('12 NFCCG) and NE (Superbowl), games in which Julio had 150 2 TDs and 5/80 with one of those receptions being what should have been the game icing catch on a ridiculous catch, the Falcons could have easily won two superbowls since the Julio trade. ATL isnt playing those games if not for him imo. Edited September 26, 2020 by JJ6

It is also possible, a few of those picks may have turned into premium defensive players that made them a defensive force for years to come. We'll never know, but I stick by one player never being worth the that many picks.
Drained
It's not clicking cause of Quinn. He's had his team, he fumbled a SB win, he's failed to take the team close to it again, its time to go.
