Not that most years are not, but the amount of injuries thus far has seemed higher than years past. Will be interesting to see if the lack of preseason games might have an influence on that. Each time they sign a new CBA - we get fewer practices, shorter practices, less hitting, elimination of the Oklahoma drill, little to no live tackling in TC and other changes. What the NFL and NFLPA have apparently agreed on is that football is a very dangerous sport and the risks are so high, we'll limit them to game day only. They'll continue to limit non-revenue generating contact, while simultaneously adding revenue-generating events via a 17th, then 18th game COVID offered them the chance to see what a preseason-less start up looks like...( not great) and I think we'll see only 2 preseason games going forward UNLESS they can figure out how to make mo money from those practice games.
