Snap Counts - Week 4 Edition

Some things to note this week:

Dwayne Allen at 9 total snaps. Hollister is close on his heels and there is no 6th OL getting snaps over him either.

James White is DESTROYING the RB snap count

Malcolm Butler back to 100% of the snaps, how much of that is due to Rowe's injury?

Hightower only played 58% of snaps, are they easing him back into the mix?

Marquis Flowers getting 22 snaps after Roberts's injury is frightening. Roberts isn't very good but Flowers is ST only

The DT situation is still a mess. Adam Butler seems to have bee taken out of base packages. Branch continues to disappoint

Have to wonder how long guys like Branch, Harris and Langi hang onto their roster spots (for different reasons). There's been an unusually low amount of churn on the roster, that has to change soon - maybe after this week.

Are we being cute with this defense? Wise is playing well and generating genuine pressure but is at 40%. Guy is performing well, he's at 70%.Butler (of the Adam variety) played well at NO but managed 17%?

Wise is our version of, let's say, Tuck in the Umenyiora/Tuck line of 2007/8 (obviously no where near as talented, but the point is he is our second best pass rusher). You wouldn't see Spags keeping Tuck off the field for 60% of snaps. That's a peculiar example, but you get the point :D

Tuck wasn't a rookie that year, though. I think that's the difference. Of a bit more concern to me is T.Flowers playing 100%, or nearly that, of the defensive snaps. Hoping he doesn't tire out by the end of the season.

OL is consistent, even if they aren't doing that well. My hope is them continuing to play together will eventually reap dividends.
