J-ALL-DAY
High ankle sprains are usually a 3-6 weeks injury. No chance Jimmy will play next week on that turf and likely won't play the following week either. Injuries have hit the Niners hard to start the season. Nick Mullens time! jrry32
How the heck did y'all get to start the year against Arizona, NYJ, and NYG coming off a Super Bowl appearance?

Why stop there? Then Philly and Miami lol. Definitely fortunate for the easy early season schedule, but the injuries are brutal nonetheless. No team has lost as many high level, top contributors on the team than us to start the season. SB dreams are likely gone with Bosa out for the season. This year sucks…

Looking at our current roster of injured players, I'm not sure that is the phrase I would look to use to describe the 49ers currently

MKnight82
Someone as mediocre as him needs “availability” as a strength. He doesn’t have it.
MacReady
This is why you never make picks in July. Coaching, health then talent are the most important things.
showtime
The Niners next three games are against teams with 0 combined wins this season (Giants, Eagles and Dolphins). If they can win one or two of those games (maybe even all three), they will be in a good spot when both Jimmy G and Sherman potentially come back. TheKillerNacho
The return of Nick Mullens, then?
MSURacerDT55
Mullens was very impressive, no need to panic, let Jimmy G heal 100% and roll with him.
TecmoSuperJoe
The optimism for Mullens will deflate real quick when he's forced to show off his arm. Not exactly a cloud-cutter. But he does throw a nice tight spiral at the 10-15 yard mark. Just gonna have to channel his inner Chad Pennington, and hope for the best.
