I mean, even if you wanted, it doesn't look like he's interested in playing anyway. But for a guy that could realistically cash in one more time, I'm surprised he's not not more open to another go. No one would sign him for more than 6M so any team could sign him to a veteran minimum, he'd earn 6M total for the year, assumingly play well, then parlay that into another short term contract. Maybe even be open to playing safety if he was a bit overwhelmed due to the advanced age. Just odd a guy would leave another possible 10M (?) on the table. Darby and Mills starting with Brooks in the slot and Douglas, Robinson and CJ Smith off the bench is pretty respectable.
