Week two Aints... Good, bad, ugly

Good: Carr, Waller, I called earlier today or yesterday we have to spread it around and we did, 12 guys caught passes tonight.  Gruden left his hat on.  2-0.  Getting some pressure....

Bad: D, Guenther.  Run defense early

Ugly: Two fumbles, neither were on Carr.  One looked like Hud didn't get it to Carr on the goal line, the other was all Richard.

Gruden showed me a lot. He realized that he couldn't just hand off the ball to Jacobs under center. Went shotgun and put Carr into a situation where he is very comfortable. It allowed him to get into a rythem and gave him routes to work with that would get the ball out of his hand quick. This was 2016 Carr performance. I am very pleased with his performance. He showed up in a big game after a bad start and turned things around.

Good is amazing(not really) but the Raiders put him on a island and gave him very little help and he stood his own most of the time.

Waller is a stud. Open even when he is not open. Need to continue to feed your stars

WR core stepped up big. With rookie WR's never know what you're gonna get week from week and the other guys stepped up big

Raiders need to call up Earl Thomas. You cannot keep on putting Harris back there. Great story, but great stories dont make plays on the field.

Good:

- Gruden was playing chess while Payton was playing checkers. Gruden put masterful drive after masterful drive after masterful drive together. Finally Gruden was aggressive in the second half after being conservative in the second half since his re-hiring.

- Darren Waller is a BEAST! 1st down machine, play action machine, TOUGH, FAST, can do it all!

- Josh Jacobs stats don’t look the prettiest but anyone who watched this game can see his runs were BRUTAL. He was running physical every run and without him we absolutely don’t win this game. Jacobs was physical and nasty all game and moving the chains.

- Carr had a terrific game. He missed a couple big throws early that we rightfully criticized him for but he came back strong. Terrific game! I give props when it’s due and Carr was great. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

- Jonathan Abram is an ANIMAL. Also a absolute savage. Easily our best defensive player. Everyone agree? Huge tone setter to games.

- Vegas Stadium is AMAZING.

- 2-0!!!

Bad:

- Defense came through when necessary, and had a good second half, but overall it still underperformed and our Run Defense looked quite bad. They just didn’t stick to the run.

- Erik Harris still trash

Ugly:

- Our pass rush is atrocious. Little better and had their moments but not much. Has to be one of the very worst in the league. We are gonna have to get A LOT better to make the playoffs, honestly.

Overall, great team win.

We’re 2-0!!!

Got punched in the mouth and we responded with a flurry. Scoring in 6 of 7 drives to close the game vs a top 10 defense. Love the way we responded. Love the identity of the offense. Gruden called a nice game and Carr played confident and delivered the ball. Waller is an animal and so is Jacobs. Edwards made some big boy plays today, he’s gonna he a problem. Ruggs speed  causes problems and makes DBs nervous. OL is the heart and soul of the team. Lost two of the best OL in the league and still came through. Good and Simpson didn’t miss a beat. Time for some to put some respect on the Cable guys name.

defense settled down after a rough start. They competed and didn’t allow Brees to get too comfortable. Still a bunch to work on but they held the Saints in check after giving up 17 out the gate.

Very promising win vs a NFC contender. Very satisfied tonight!

Go Raiders!!!
