And idk what anyone else has seen to think otherwise. Like I said, to me it’s glaringly obvious that he’s not an NFL quality kicker. Doesn’t have the leg strength or the accuracy and he repeatedly has low kicks. Yea he could have hit from quite a bit further. Let's not forget, GZ wasn't all that great as a rookie. Granted that was mostly due to 50+ kicks, but Sloman's miss wouldn't have been a miss had there not been an 8 yard sack on third down. That's what really cost us, especially in a stadium like Buffalo's where wind is swirling.

That 52 yard FG had plenty of leg. No one on this forum is making any call of any kind. It goes without saying. Leg strength may be fine, but it doesn't matter how far you can kick if it only sails 3 ft over the O-line. The low kicks are more of a problem then anything for me. Accuracy could be mental, leg strength seems to on par with rest of the league, but low kicks lead to blocks, lead to swung momentum in games. Can't have that. If it continues, we should bring in a street vet.

But it’s a forum so we’re all here to throw out our (sometimes irrational) opinions haha And yes you’re probably right about the leg strength—I guess I’m more getting at those low angles. It’s obviously dangerous for us but it also just makes it look like it’s not a strong kick

They spent a draft pick on the kid for a reason.
MDY10
Really excited to see this next stretch of games for the rams. I love the fact that not a single player or coach has made a big deal about the call at the end. This team is so young yet so mature when it comes to taking accountability. In the 20 years that I've been a rams fan, I don't think I've ever seen a rams team that was this close. when Mcvay was hired I was kind of scared he wouldn't be able to get the respect of older vets and get the team to gel. Now it feels like he turned an entire organization around. I think this team responds well to that loss and gets hot after these two games. For once as a Rams fan, I don't feel like I have to worry that they will underestimate any team.
S-jax39
Brockers and Ebukam better not be anywhere near our roster next year. Enough is enough.

I don't understand it. Not if you a Rams fan lol. Dude has been invisible for years and for whatever reason people continue to be in love with him. He hasn't had an impact on the team since 2017 where when he went down against the falcons. I'm honestly tired of teams pushing our Dline around and running wild. How hard is it to find some big bodies? Like, they don't even have to be great players. Just run stopping specialist and AD will handle the rest. Right now we have dudes on the Dline that don't rush the passer but they aren't run stoppers. It's hilarious. I don't even wanna go in on Ebukam, but I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to think he has pictures on Mcvay. No way he just keeps making this roster and getting playing time.

I was more referring to the players liking to have Brockers around, but I agree with everything you said. When you have a guy like Aaron Donald commanding all of this attention he does, guys like Brockers/Ebukam need to be able to make an impact. Samson is okay in coverage, but has no pass rush ability and isn't really adept at stopping the run.

Im not going down this rabbit hole again, we had his argument last year, but you guys are expecting things out of Brockers that he just doesnt do, and really arent asked of him in our scheme. Now the scheme is changing, and we will likely need something different from that spot in the future (especially if we are still sub par at OLB) but as we constructed this defense in the offseason, he was exactly what we needed. But sure, theres a 50/50 shot he isnt here next year, it saves us like $5.5m. And there is no way he is here in 2022.
NYRamsFan88
Getting AShawn Robinson back will definitely shore up the run defense along the d line, but it’s still up to the LBs to do their jobs and rush the passer and stop running plays. At this point, I believe we should give Polite more reps, and what better team to do that against than a vulnerable Giants team? I mean why not? Ebukam is a complete, utter disaster and Okro never stands out

I honestly have a feeling that we won't be seeing Robinson this year. I think he Opts out when he's off of IR. I hope im wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised. I agree that he would help the defense. As for everyone that's waiting for Lewis to get back, it doesnt seem like it'll be this week. Mcvay said it would probably be a bit too optimistic for week 4. We don't need Lewis for week 4 or 5 for that matter. Same with Akers. Save them for the 49ers in week 6.
