Clears that right up. I was extremely confused.

Haha, yeah. I think he has to base a lot of his sleep schedule around football during the NFL season since he live tweets some of the prime time games that start at 1:30 am Dublin time.

The bar is way too low if we're calling that an OK offensive performance.

I think people are getting to the point where they're looking for things to be angry about if you're putting any stock in to what a coach says about a game performance.

I'd rather see coaches publicly hold the team accountable, even if it's not by targeting specific players. It was the same nonsense after the Texans game. It makes the staff look bad when they obviously lie.

If you're referring to numbers (10 points, 188 yards) that would give you a historically bad offense if averaged over the course of a year as "OK," you're only making fans more frustrated with a terrible performance.

So you're aware he's obviously lying, and you know he doesn't think the offense is OK, but is just answering the media with bland, generic statements because he's required to, but you're still upset about it?

I don't get it, personally. But to each their own, I suppose.

My question is, what's the point? Why lie? Because yes, your average FF poster will understand he's just lying to the media, but based on interactions on Facebook and Twitter, I'm also aware that the average football IQ on FF is far higher than that of your average Titans/football fan.

But mainly, I don't get the point in lying to the media when it poses no actual benefit. I'm fine with Mularkey lying and being overly generic in the Marcus questions because it's important info that can pose an advantage.

I just don't get it. Say the offense was bad if it was bad. Say it was a total failure against the Texans if it was a total failure. Claiming that terrible is OK only serves to make you look incompetent to your average fan.

And really, I'm not mad. Just confused as to why someone chooses lying over the truth when the truth is obvious and the lie gains you nothing.
