MacReady
Shyamalan gets in his own way too often, but the dude is still a master storyteller when he does his own thing. When he goes major blockbuster or doesn’t take advice, that’s when he sucks. After Earth and The Last Airbender or whatever that was called were his only duds. Didn’t like Lady in the Water, but it was still a decent movie. HATED The Village, but it’s arguably a good movie. The Happening people don’t get yet. It was satire, and excellent satire at that. Not great, but that’s way better received if people knew what it was going in. I remember telling people it was satire when it was released and nobody believed me. Eyes are starting to open on that one, so maybe it starts getting more appreciation the way Last Action Hero has.
beekay414
I'll forever hate Shyamalan for Signs. Like, I love his stuff but I hated Signs because I lived right next to a corn field in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania when it came out lol. The drive home was in the dark, I was young and I literally ran from the car to the house and screamed at my dad to unlock the door lol.
