After the latest kerfuffle of play calling, time out management, and just overall game flow, I've decided, likely prematurely, that for the 2021 season we will be looking for something new.  Say what you want about a wonky offseason, player opt outs, and injuries (all teams deal with these), the sixth 0-3 start in franchise history, with this expensive of a roster, is not something that should be acceptable.  So, I'm asking you, the people of Valhalla, to put on your Zygi mustaches, and build your next GM-HC duo (fill in the rest of the coaching staff if you wish as well).

Who are the names that are appealing to you??

I would start with looking at Matt Eberflus Defense Coordinator with the Colts. Nominated for assistant coaching award in 2018. I think he takes our current personnel (currently runs a 4-3) and gives a fresh look. I don’t hate having a great RB, but I want a more explosive offense. Yep, that means throwing the ball and imaginative play calling. This probably excludes Kirk as your QB. So, whoever that coach is, I hope Matt brings him in to run the show.

I’d promote George Paton to GM.

As for HC, Eric Bienemy would be the guy I’d push very hard for. Outside of him, I’d follow the trend and look for a young, offensive minded HC. Be the team that fast tracks Kellen Moore, or let’s really create a rivalry with Green Bay and hire Mike LaFleur. Kevin O’Connell with the Rams would be a little intriguing. Both O’Connell and LaFleur are familiar with the wide zone, and I’d like to keep that concept.

I want nothing to do with a defensive minded head coach.

We're going on a decade with a defensive minded HC.  In today's NFL, you have all these offensive geniuses with offenses that can't be stopped even when they are stopped.

We need a dynamic offense and a good defense.

The narrative of "defense wins championships" is being destroyed by the likes of Mahomes, Jackson, Watson, Rodgers, Allen, Peterman, etc. and we need to stop living in 1982 and put together an offense that can put up 35 if the defense is getting killed by Mahomes.

Greg Roman would be near the top of my list.

Has shown that he can mold an offense to his personnel in San Francisco (Kaepernick) and Baltimore (Jackson).

He’s a couple years younger than Bienemy as well.

I am concerned about relying on an offensive coordinator that worked under Andy Reid as a Vikings head coach. The brings back bad memories. Before worrying about head coach, the team needs to find the right GM. I don't object to Paton, but I do think the team should consider all their options before giving the job to Paton.
