Nor should He. Regardless of what these spoiled ,self entitled , whiney *** eagle fans stupidly expected. News flash, 🤫 Dynasty's don't grow on trees.

Nabbs, Doug sucks at like 80% of his job.

He can’t call plays with any coherence or logic, he can’t lead in crafting an offense, he can’t push his staff to do better, he doesn’t hold the team accountable/make tough decisions. This has been fairly consistent for the last couple years. The only thing was they sorta fumbled their way into the playoffs, which I think was Doug’s ability to rally the team...a good ability he had. But they needed that the last month or two and it never came. If he lost that, what does he have?
How long are we supposed to wait post Super Bowl until we can complain or criticize? This is what following a team, and especially the Eagles is.

Long term success is possible in the NFL, you might not go super far, but you can be competitive and a tough matchup. Are you not sick of basically punting the first 8 weeks away like we have the last 3 years? Are you not sick of seeing the guy who looked like an MVP QB in 2017 be left in a position to fail (him not trying to fix it himself is on him). Like I love the Eagles and that will never change, but gets tiresome having to hope we are in position to collect some cheap wins at the end of every year to make up for games we shouldn’t have lost earlier in the season. It gets old hearing Doug (and Carson) say the same things every week with no visible changes.

Dynasties are rare. Being a good, well run and competitive team...not so much. We can sit here another couple years and hope this “shriveled dead tree” sprouts again, or we can do the same thing and move on to a new start. There is really no reason why they are this bad.

Great post

I agree with pretty much everything in here. Doug is a good play designer and a players coach, but that´s pretty much it. You really hit the nail in the hand with his inability to make the difficult decisions.

He wasn´t this bad at playcalling but the terrible job he did at replacing the OC which also was brought on himself because again he couldn´t bring himself to fire someone and unwillingness to compromise with the playcalling (which is his only real power within the team and he is holding on to that). That has left us with a chimera of an offense that has no identity and much less any ingenuity.

If Sean Payton is scheming wins out of Taysom Hill, Doug should be doing much more with what he has at the moment.
