OT Elijah Wilkinson going on IR with a leg injury

At this stage they’ll be setting up a field hospital in Mile High. I can’t believe this.

I haven't seen the All 22 from Sunday, but I still think this a massive blow.

People will be like, "weLL He Is RUbbIsh aNyway" but this isn't Madden. You can't just plug in someone new and everything is fixed.

More communication issues will arise, and there is no guarantee Dotson will be any better.

I meant to say "big blow". For some reason the edit button isn't working.

I mean Wilkinson is hardly the second incarnation of Jonathan Ogden, but I agree continuity helps on the OL.

i am so done with this season already. Only thing that really matters now is whether Fangio can get the backups playing hard. If so, he gets a third year IMO. If they all mail it in and he loses the locker room then he’s gone.

He's not going anywhere. Denver cannot afford more turnover, and frankly, the sheer number of injuries buys him a year. This isn't his fault. We've demonstrated that we will play hard and not given up over Fangio's term.

I'm interested to see what they do here. Dotson would be the obvious replacement but I'm more curious to see if any of the kids, mostly Calvin Anderson, can fill the spot.

Almost feels like we'll be fielding a team of scrubs with all these injuries.

I don't see this as a setback. With all the injuries, rookies, learning curve etc. we weren't going anywhere this year anyway.

Wilkinson right now is the best he'll ever be and IMO it's not good enough. We need to know what we've got on the roster at RT, sooner rather than later.

What would your view be on giving Risner some snaps at RT and bringing Muti in to play LG? I’m not convinced Risner would be a great RT, and I’d rather we make him develop into a pro bowl Guard than plug him at Tackle and he’d maybe just be average. But in the interest of getting our five best players on the field, it might be an option.

I thought about that last year but watching him a lot closer I don't think he's got the skillset to play there. I'd like to see what Anderson can do personally. He might not end up being starter material but could end up being a Swing OT. He's listed as Bolles backup so he's got some LT skills.
