Dobbins is running out of bounds trying to get yards with a big lead and less than 5 minutes left.

The Ravens should be trying to end the game as soon as possible to minimize injury risk.

You do realize there was an obvious flag on that play, right? Clock was getting stopped no matter what lol you're making a big deal out of literally nothing. No team is better at closing games than we are.

Yes with a lead we are great. When we are trailing we suck. It's a great formula for regular season success against bad teams.

Dobbins is up and down. The potential is there, but there are some things he need to clean up. He is a rookie in his 4th game, he will get there. We have seen the potential, now we just have to get some more consistency from him.

We saw how we can use him on slants against the Chiefs. He is more dangerous in those situations than Ingram and Gus Edwards

So kind of like how complaining about the offense racking up late game rushing yards against a pathetic team, right?

EDIT: Or should they be running up passing yards and TDs like the 07 Patriots were doing?

No, grinding out the win with runs up the middle is the optimal strategy.

My concern is the running game hasn't really been that effective in the first half. Teams have snuffed out the read option, especially when Lamar keeps and takes it outside.

100% chance if we just ran up the middle and didn't convert first downs to close out the game @AngusMcFife would criticize the coaching staff and play calling. But as soon as one player goes out of bounds on a play with a flag we suddenly are being cute and trying to set records, as if those things don't coincide with trying to win.

If it makes you feel better we got no additional rushing yards after Lamar left the game. Or would you prefer us to lose yards?

How does the team doing anything against the WFT other than blow them out in a win, help out our playoff cause? So again, is there a point? The only way to prove they can close out games when they’re down is for them to be down. Would you have preferred the team play like crap all game and be down to the WFT with 2 minutes left and then lead a comeback drive?

So why are you worried about how we close out games? lol

I'm concerned the running game isn't as good as last year. The fact that we can pile up yards at the end of blowouts and appear to be "historic" is fool's gold. How effective was the run game vs the Chiefs or Titans?

We're piling up yards in teh 2nd half of games to close them out, which is what we do great. Now, whether you want to say that's a product of us blowing out bad teams or the result of wearing a team down, that's to be debated.

I don't think anyone is going to argue that our early-game running game is not very good right now. Actually as a first half team we're not good in any phase right now.

It was pretty effective against the Chiefs. Other stuff killed us in that game
