Heinz D.
First off, they've activated Artavius Pierce, a move which I applaud whole-heartedly: https://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/2020/09/chicago-bears-promote-former-oregon-state-beaver-artavis-pierce-to-the-active-roster.html They're also trying out a bunch of guys. Another rookie, and some vets, including (you guessed it) Lamar Miller: https://www.windycitygridiron.com/2020/9/30/21496015/chicago-bears-work-out-former-pro-bowl-running-back-lamar-miller-nfl-free-agency-tarik-cohen Which I'm a little confused about. Are they looking to replace Nall? Or looking for a guy with more return ability? Maybe they're thinking Pierce would get a quick hook if he doesn't make an instant impact? (Which, considering Pierce's resume, would be sort of weird). It'll be interesting to see if Nagy, or whoever, sheds some light on all this. And if so, how it's explained. Maybe if I'm lucky, they're moving Patterson back to WR... Edited October 1, 2020 by Heinz D.
JAF-N72EX
If Nall was ever going to work out it would've happened already. Miller makes the most sense.

While I've never really bashed Nall, I've never been high on him, either. We've seen very little of him to base anything on. Even last pre-season, he was never featured prominently (if I'm remembering things correctly). A double switch might be the way to go. soulman
Pace is always kicking tires if only to see whose available and what kind of shape they're in. It's a good thing but I never put more stock in it than that.
Heinz D.
So, Lamar Miller was signed to the practice squad. How can they do that, exactly? Is that a covid thing?

Yes, covid related new rule. I think Josh Mcgowen is on a PS but he is chilling at home away from the club (potential outbreak)
