Damn.  Like Bausby though.  Am hoping Ojemudia and Bassey end up legitimate.  That’d be a huge win for this team.

How did Bausby get cut? I don't get that one.

Also, Adam Gase's NFL HC career is over. He should never have a head job in this league again.

What in God’s green earth was Fangio doing by at the end there, trying to get Rypien killed?? It’s a two score game! Take a knee on 4th down!

Fangio isnt a head coach. That was awful decision making. Take a knee and let chubb go get another sack or just hand it off. It's a Greg Williams defense. You thought they wouldn't take the cheap shot.

Well we know 3 things on O:

1.  Rypien's a tough and smart guy.  But his arm deficiencies are there for all to see.  The decision-making mistakes clearly could get better with more time - but this was a Jets D that had zero pressure for pretty much the whole game, and very lax coverage.   At least we could see the good and bad that Rypien brings.   Definitely a better backup than Driskel, and cheap too.   But those type of physical limitations are hard to overcome - and shows what happens when you make late decisions (or have to throw a count earlier to make up for it).

2.  Jeudy's still a baller - that was a pick / incomplete pass literally 70+ percent of the time, but Jeudy's ball skills saved Rypien.   Patrick played well too.

3.  We pray Fant is OK - taken off on a cart, impact injury - just hope it's an ankle or MCL injury, and not anything worse.  Those are not long-term problems.  Please, please please.

We know 4 things on D/ST :

1. Our coverage still is a work in progress.   Aside from Jamison Crowder, that's a JV WR squad.   Guys made some nice plays - but this a league-worst WR squad right now (maybe PHI's current version).  It was nice to see Bausby out there, agreed.

2.  Our run D is still our best asset.

3.  Spencer is a real threat - but duuuude, don't let the P get you.

4.  McManus was nails tonight.

Let's face it - the Jets are horrible.   So we should have won this game - but it's hard to take this as momentum that we are turning it around.   It's good to see the guys compete, and play hard.  It's awful if Fant is out with a serious injury.    It doesn't really change much - other than likely keep Rypien under center for another week (but his 2H performance certainly did nothing to cement his status as the QB until Lock returns, whenever that is).

Really, I just hope Fant is OK.   Everything else is secondary.
