Ya, Not sure I like the precedent

Titans have an outbreak, so they get a "Get out of jail free" card and get to reschedule

Patriots lose their Starting QB and are expected to just play the backup

Sounds like an "outbreak" is better from a competitive point of view

Teams should have to get fully tested, sit out if you're positive and forfeit if they can't field a complete team

The thing is, Cam is almost definitely not the only Patriot with this. He’s the QB. The Titans have been getting new positives every day including today. Cam who has to talk to many of the coaches and be in close contact with the entire offense would be extremely fortunate to not spread it. So really it’s likely we get the same roll out over the next week.

I don’t know how you have a game

Von Miller talked about how his lungs felt like they were constructing and how frightening it was for him.

what are you talking about?

Well that’s my bad then.

Sorry was too quick to post.

Hopefully this is an isolated incident.

Agreed

I don't know the ins and outs of testing and if they can clear guys on short notice, but the NFL seems really short sighted here not building in more bye weeks for potential reschedules in terms of outbreaks

You just need to look at what happened in MLB to see the need to flexibility. Obviously double headers aren't an option in Football

Yeah, the risk is to high. Realistically, if a player/coach test positive on a Friday or Saturday, it is just impossible to know if the issue is contained or not. The league should adopt a rule, any positive on the weekend, game automatically rescheduled.

Damn this virus. Ugh. I was looking forward to that matchup too. The return of the MVP under the best coach in the league versus the prodigal superstar Mahomes.

My job had a scare a week ago with the virus. Had to shut it down and all employees get tested to return after the place was sanitized by biohazard specialists.

You just can’t risk the game tomorrow. The Titans thought the OLB coach was an isolated case and kept him away from the team on the trip to Minnesota. As we all know now, that wasn’t the case and they didn’t find out until days later. The Patriots probably won’t know until Monday if it’s spread.
