The Tom Brady Thread

Recommended Posts

Funny story: at basic there was this skinny little **** that tried to play the "system quarterback" crap and said if Brady wins with the Bucs then he'll be better than Peyton.

Sucks I oculdn't see his reaction cuz he cried his wy out of the military.

Some people just cannot accept the reality that Tom is the GOAT. He could win 10 more and it wouldn't be enough.

It's amusing to see the lengths people will go to.

He has 2 rings because 1) the Tuck Rule and 2) Marshawn Lynch/Pete Carrol

Brady's beaten the game so many times, he should start doing challenge runs. Go the whole season without leveling up his stats. What would the IRL equivalent of that be?

It’s insane that people forget the absolutely incredibly lucky catch that made the end zone INT possible in the first place against the Seahawks.

And that would have been the third time an incredible catch and the defense letting up a late score cost him a ring.

He actually has 7 rings

How many of those was because of Tom Brady being great.

Because he played like Alex Smith tonight and won a superbowl on the back of his defense....much like his first 3 rings in New England

1. The tuck rule was an actual rule. To bad get over it.

2. If Brady lost that game the narrative would have been that he engineered an incredible comeback and for the third consecutive time his defense crapped the bed and let a circus catch happen to cost him. And lets be real, Lynch sucked in short yardage all year, people acting like that was automatic are kidding themselves.

If it's so easy, why has no one else come anywhere near his level of success?

Brady engineered the second largest and largest comeback in SB history. He ripped apart the Chiefs tonight and had a 125 passer rating. He bailed out the defense against the Panthers. The only two games you could say the lionshare should go to the defense are the two Rams games and in both cases he still needed to engineer 4th quarter game winning drives once against the best defense in football while he was effectively a rookie and the second time against arguably the best defensive player of the modern era.

The excuses people come up with to deny Brady’s greatness is becoming almost as impressive as Brady’s greatness itself.

Yes, and he has been bailed out by kicker, etc too.

But like,at what point do you attribute it to luck vs skill/impact?

I mean, the dude has 7 rings and still 10 SB's.  He had great performances in losses too. Lost by Tyree, etc.  So has been on the wrong side of the coin.

All I'm saying is yes Tom Brady has 7 rings. However, his defenses and decisions by other coaches are the main reason for at least 4 of his rings.

Like tonight. He played like Alex Smith and won a ring. Similar to his early 2000s rings.

So people need to quit acting like Brady is over here throwing for 400 yards and 5+ TDs in all of his SB victory's

I never post in the general Forum, and I have always hated that SOB. but WTF can I say now. There are players with more talent -such as A Rodgers and Mahomes, but intangibles are all Brady.

He has to be the DAMN FRAKIN GOAT. For no other reason I can possibly think of.
