GW21 Posted April 1, 2021 Share Posted April 1, 2021 I’d still rather go with Fields, but I’d be waaaaay more excited with Lance than I would be with Jones. I don’t really get the sentiment that Lance has a higher ceiling than Fields personally, as I think both have tremendous potential, but I could definitely get on board with Lance if that’s the way that Shanahan and Lynch decided to go. Â I personally think the Niners get Wilson, they are just laughing at everyone right now because they spoke with Saleh and he told them they are sticking with Darnold....entirely possible. I do believe Wilson and Mac are players that can come in and start right away. Wilson has a high ceiling and Mac low ceiling. I think Fields needs a little time to adjust and would benefit from half a season behind Jimmy. I’m basing that off of the ‘high-intelligence, ability to grasp a system quickly, point and shoot play style pocket passing’. I was very surprised to learn that Mac had started as many games as Lance. My analysis is based off the majority of scouting reports at this time, which is why i see him fitting in early,but the ceiling isn’t there Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
