BobbyPhil1781
Him and Mo Hurst, two more Titans players...... Wouldn't be shocked to see the season delayed a week to let those who are positive get tested enough. They can't let this continue as (shockingly) the players were going to contract it not living in a bubble.

Okay as it pertains to football -the Patriots best offensive and defensive players are out -Gilmore traveled with the team on an airplane and was in close contact with the Patriots staff, defense, and multiple Chiefs -due to a 2-14 week incubation period it is highly doubtful we will find all positive tests before Sunday This game is likely in jeopardy

rich homie
The only sensible move would be to move Week 5 to Week
drd23
At the very least, surely the 20 players/staff that were on the second "Cam's close contacts" plane have to go into self isolation. Letting them continue with any in-person activities surely runs the risk of another Titans situation
TitanSlim
The NFL is too stubborn to put a halt to the season. Once I saw the other day that their message was pretty much “protocols aren’t failing, people are”, I knew that they were full speed ahead unless (God forbid) something tragic happens.

At this point someone would have to die for the NFL to force it to shutdown. Something that would kill them in the public eye. The funny thing is that the NFL didn't take it upon themselves after months of leeway to have backup plans. So now they're blaming the teams for not abiding by some sort of honor code system they scrapped up together last minute. Ridiculous.

It’s not 2. you let it run rampant through the entire league eventually some player or coach is dying and several will be on ventilators. It’s a numbers game. That’s not even including relatives 1. Yes it is - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8454331/Under-50s-likely-die-car-accident-injury-Covid-19.html 2. It's already running rampant the "control measures" were never going to work, and were instituted too late anyway. That's the reason - here in Europe - the more people we test, the more "cases" we have, there's direct correlation. Because it was spreading back in the winter before anyone realised it was there. Most people have already been exposed, and the vast majority - literally 99.74% according to the CDC - will be absolutely fine. For people who aren't already sick with something else that number becomes something like 99.994%. Fit people under 65 literally have a higher risk of dying from the flu or bacterial meningitis or other common infections. They are far more likely to die in accident. As for "ending up on ventilators", vents are being phased out of C19 treatment. If you want to get into talk about ventilators - about how they are not recommended treatment for respiratory infections, and their fear-based use likely killed many thousands of people who would otherwise have survived - we can do that. As someone whose entire professional life has been tied up in journals, studies and peer-reviewed papers its becoming increasingly tiresome to have these conversations. Everyone is saying "believe the science", but they don't know the science. They know the little bits of science CNN is putting in the headlines.

titans0021
It’s almost as though putting 20 people that were the most directly exposed to a confirmed positive case onto an airplane together was just a really bad idea. Because you now have 19 people that have had long-term exposure to two positive cases. Keep in mind, the Titans outbreak started the day after their game (and then results came out Tuesday), this is the first set of test results after the Patriots game. The league can try their hardest to place blame on teams, it’s going to be a really tough sell if the Patriots have an outbreak.
