mayanfootball
I'm noticing an avg. of 6 OT's coming off the board in the 1st. round. (not including KC's pick) P.Sewell(6), R.Slater(10), S.Cosmi(13), C.Darrisaw(14), T.Jenkins(20), J.Mayfield(24); Chiefs would be left with: L.Eichenberg(35), D.Radunz(39), A.Leatherwood(43), James Hudson(70) to pick from. It may be that KC leans to other than OT's for it's 1st. pick. (or trade down?) Edited March 6, 2021 by mayanfootball
onejayhawk
In that scenario I would go a different direction, say WR or Edge. Trading down is very possible. With the announcement that both Fisher and Schwartz are expected back for at least part of camp, I think OT has moved down the list of priorities. Even if one isn't, they have Niang ready to step in. Regardless, he's better than anyone left. Only needing to find him a bookend made OT a priority. J

onejayhawk
Any time Walker Little isn't ahead of Deonte Brown, something is seriously wrong. New list from Packer Report. It's incomplete. Several players are simply not on it. 31: R1 P31 G Alijah Vera-Tucker - USC 63: R2 P31 TE Brevin Jordan - Miami 94: R3 P30 C Quinn Meinerz - UW-W 136: R4 P31 LB Baron Browning - Ohio State 144: R4 P39 S Caden Stearns - Texas 176: R5 P31 WR Whop Philyor - Indiana 180: R5 P35 WR Dez Fitpatrick - Louisville J

kingseanjohn
I thought I was done with these til FA. But today made me want to do another. 31. Zaven Collins, LB Tulsa - Had to go BPA here. Philips, Ojulari, and Rousseau were also considered. 63. Walker Little, OT Stanford - Ideally he isn't forced to start, but he could. Plus I don't see Andy starting a rookie at LT day one. 94. Josh Myers, IOL Ohio State - Starts at C, allowing us to keep Allegretti at LG, which keeps Wylie on the bench. 136. Ambry Thomas, CB Michigan - Depth this year and likely starter in '22. 144. Joshuah Bledsoe, S Missouri - Competes to take over Dirty Dan's role. 175. Anthony Schwartz, WR Auburn - I still believe he'd be great in our offense. Pringle is my plan for X. 181. Patrick Johnson, Edge Tulane - A DE/LB hybrid type. He can move around as needed and make plays in the backfield or in coverage. I think he'd fit Spags scheme really well. 6 total OT in the 1st round, 7 if you include Vera-Tucker. 5 more in the 2nd before Little. Even then, I'd be pretty happy with Little as the 12th/13th OT taken. The depth is ridiculous this year. My projected starting OL: Rankin-Allegretti-Myers-LDT-Niang with Wylie(IOL)/Little(OT) as the 6th man. I wanted another WR, but ran out of picks. Still, there's likely going to be some good WR who don't get drafted this year. Plus we have French, Fortson, Callaway, Kemp, etc. So I didn't want to pass up on Johnson at 181.
