kingseanjohn
Not posting a mock, but in the last couple I skimmed we had the option of Alijah Vera-Tucker, Jaylen Mayfield, and Zaven Collins. That's my dream and also worst nightmare. Is AVT a true LT in the NFL? Best case he's a developing LT who gets better and is top 10-15 in year 2-3. Worst case he's a great OG imo. Jaylen Mayfield lacks experience. By that, I mean he only started 15 games. I don't know how you take someone in the 1st who's only started 15 games unless they just completely blew you away every single snap of every single game. Zaven Collins would be the best LB we've had since prime DJ imo. I think he could be the centerpiece of the defense for the next decade. I think I'd go Collins just because I believe he's BPA. But our hole at LT makes me think AVT or Mayfield.

If Scary Terry is there in the 7th, you take Scary Terry. For real though, there is absolutely zero reason for him to be ranked so low. It's damn near criminal. If he goes in the 1st I wouldn't hate on it. Another Scary Terry video Join the hype. https://www.si.com/nfl/chiefs/draft/kansas-city-chiefs-nfl-draft-scouting-report-florida-state-wide-receiver-tamorrion-terry Edited March 19, 2021 by odendin

odendin
PFN Mock Sim KC Picks 31, 144 for Detroi Picks 41, 2022 2nd. KC Pick 63 for Minn Picks 78, 119 KC 181, 2022 6th for NYG 193, 195 41 LB Zaven Collins Tulsa I read he's an Urlacher-lite. I'm ok with that. Blitzer is a Spags +. Collins-Gay for years. 78 OT Walker Little Stanford Guys been hurt but showed improvement in pass pro. We can give him a year learning from pros. 94 Edge Payton Turner Houston Proto-spags that explodes off the edge. I don't know if he can do it for a whole year but that's why the team hires trainers. 119 CB Ambry Thomas Michigan 2 corners (Sneed) in man and a pass rush that hopefully picks up... anxious to see how that would turn out, in 2022. 136 DE/T Cam Sample Tulane I like the versatility. Had a 90 PFF rating in pass rush last year. 175 OG/T Robert Hainsey Notre Dame Depth/future. Surprised he was here but I'll take it. 193 WR Tamorrion Terry Florida State He's like Calvin Johnson or that guy in Chicago. It's a late pick and could be a diamond. 195 OG/C Jack Anderson Texas Tech Another diamond hampered by shoulder injury. Versatile. Stupid dialog. Tired. Up all night working but I'd like this draft. I'd make small moves back all day because there's value all throughout. Edited March 19, 2021 by odendin
onejayhawk
Good draft. The only pick I really question is Thomas, because we own rights to DeAndre Baker. Even without Breeland we are four deep at CB. We have a bigger need at TE/FB. Doubling up on Edge is a bit funny, but Sample is insane value at that point. It's difficult to read the way you spaced things. J
mayanfootball
I like Ambry Thomas too. From what i've read he could be sneaky good because he has little track record.

One post up, I must admit, the choice between Browning and McGrone was not easy. Do you want the rush potential or the play diagnostics? Though both are really raw from that standpoint. McGrone is a tough one, because you’re going to reach a bit for things he projects to do well, but you haven’t seen him play much. I’d probably go with McGrone personally, but can see both sides. I’m not a big fan of Browning myself, Mainly because I think he brings the exact same things as Willie Gay(good and bad). He’s going to thrive in an attacking role, but he struggles to read and react. I would take Chazz Surratt over Browning though he’s not rated that highly. onejayhawk
Surratt has a couple of knocks against him. One is size. If he's going to bulk up, a 5th year player would have. Also, he's a 5th year player, so you get what you see. That's good his rookie year, but not two or three years in. Browning has a lot more growth potential. The truth is that I don't like this class of off-ball LB. You can do almost as much with a 4th/5th rounder like Monty Rice as with the day #2 guys.
