Simulated Mock Drafts

#Tennessee’s Josh Palmer had 101 snaps vs. likely top-three round CBs: Surtain, Horn, Campbell, Stokes and Joseph.
14 of 14 in catching the “catchable balls” in those matchups (per PFF), 11 first downs, 4 TDs, and 16 YPR.
Top-10 WR in the draft for me

This was Draft Diamonds. I tried not to stray far from their rankings, so a lot of BPA. It turned out to be quite a haul.

31: R1 P31 S Trevon Moehrig - TCU
63: R2 P31 Edge Joseph Ossai - Texas
94: R3 P30 TE Brevin Jordan - Miami (FL)
136: R4 P31 LB Cameron McGrone - Michigan
144: R4 P39 WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette - Iowa
175: R5 P31 OT D'Ante Smith - East Carolina
181: R5 P37 OT Jaylon Moore - Western Michigan

One week out.

31. Alijah Vera-Tucker, OL USC - I think he can play LT in the pros and worst case, he and Thuney form a great OG combo like Brees had years ago in NO.

63. Josh Myers, IOL Ohio State - Longterm solution at C, solidfying the line for next 3-4 years w/ AVT-Thuney-Myers-Allegretti-Niang or Niang-Thuney-Myers-AVT-Remmers this year. Although Andy likes vets at OL, so who knows if he'd go this young.

94. Elerson Smith, DE Northern Iowa - Heavily involved in rotation, should be starter in 1-2 years.

136. Ambry Thomas, CB Michigan - Depth this year, potential starter in '22+.

144. Walker Little, OT Stanford - Apparently he's fallen down mock boards. Three OL in one draft is probably one too many to make the 53, but I can't pass up the potential here.

175. Josh Imatorbhebhe, WR Illinois - Competes with Robinson/Pringle at X.

181. Patrick Johnson, Edge Tulane - Value is too good to pass on. The man comes to work and puts up stats. I think he could be a DE or LB for us depending on package. He shouldn't fall this far imo, the guy is underrated.

207. Jermar Jefferson, RB Oregon State - Watch the video I linked of someone breaking him down. I still think he's a steal for someone if he goes this late.

Note: 5 OT went in the top 17.

Probably my favorite player in this draft and if we can get him I'd be thrilled. Shakur Brown is another I hope we can snag. Both expected to go later on which is crazy to me.

What do you think of his partner, Cameron Sample?

I'm far from a draft scout and haven't dissected a ton on the ol youtube but he looks like a space eater but doesn't offer a lot as a penetrator, just kinda bull rushes and once he gets jammed he doesn't really go to any other moves and just kinda stands around/gives up. If he was bigger he would kick inside in my opinion but he doesn't seem to have the girth/power and he might be without a position in the NFL.

Just my 2 cents I guess.

I like this one, but it seems optimistic that Rousseau would fall so far. Also, Jaylon Moore made far to much impact on the Senior Bowl to be 200+

58: R2 P26 EDGE Patrick Jones II - Pitt
63: R2 P31 OT Spencer Brown - Northern Iowa
136: R4 P31 S Caden Sterns - Texas
175: R5 P31 WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette - Iowa
181: R5 P37 C Drake Jackson - Kentucky

This one and one more before Thursday.

58. Asante Samuel Jr., CB Florida State - The board is terrible here for our needs. He could start day one and strengthen our back end while we go through a transition up front.

63. Josh Myers, IOL Ohio State - Long term center.

144. Patrick Jones II, DE Pittsburgh - I don't see how we keep Clark next year. We need a starter opposite him this year (I see Danna/Taco as depth) and someone to take his snaps next year.

175. Anthony Schwartz, WR Auburn - Immediately replaces Hardman as returner and pushes him for his reps on offense.

181. Patrick Johnson, EDGE Tulane - DE/LB hybrid to move around.

207. Tamorrion Terry, WR Florida State - I'm not, not gonna take Terry with our last pick.

Fun note: With pick 31 the Ravens selected Sam Cosmi.
